The Respect Festival 2026 will be a multicultural celebration of diversity, inclusion and community. It brings people from different cultures, backgrounds and communities together in a spirit of togetherness, allyship and unity and provides a welcoming and positive space where everyone are encouraged join in celebrating what makes Plymouth vibrant. In collaboration with The Box Plymouth and the Theatre Royal Plymouth the festival provides a safe and inclusive space for people to connect, celebrate difference, share their cultures, build greater understanding and respect for one another.

This year the annual event will be held on Saturday 26th September across 2 venues; starting at The Box and ending at the Theatre Royal Plymouth. The festival has an exciting programme of music, food, workshops, stalls, dance performances and a parade. It is a powerful reminder that diversity makes our communities and Plymouth stronger and that everyone deserves to feel welcomed, valued and safe; our theme this year is that it’s ok to be different.
